It’s not often that I get to blog about something really inspiring but I thought that the Our Space camps being run by the EHRC were worth a few lines. You may have seen the recent article in one of the broadsheets. The camps are aimed at bringing young people between the ages of 14 and 16 together regardless of ability, background etc. 

 

Held in the Lake District they are residential camps that offer a wide range of outdoor pursuits. One of the goals of the project is to empower young people, bringing them out of their shells so to speak.

 

It’s heartening to see that we have a future generation ready and willing to stand up for a wholly inclusive society.
