Chartered Society of Physiotherapy

Equality Works has been working in partnership with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) for six years. This has involved working with elected Council members, senior managers and middle managers on a wide range of interventions to support the strategic objectives of this complex organisation.

Our work has included designing and delivering a leadership programme and awaydays for the Senior Management Team, delivering a management development programme for middle managers, working with elected Council members and delivering coaching and training on:

• Performance management;
• Project management;
• Line management; and
• Cross-functional working.

The evaluation of the programme by the delegates demonstrated:

• Better understanding of the decision-making process;
• Better grasp of strategic as opposed to operational management;
• More confidence in management skills and decision-making; and
• Improved influencing skills in terms of managing change with staff.

The tailor-made leadership programme for the SMT is pitched at MBA level and includes senior leaders from a wide range of organisations coming to share their leadership stories. The CSP is a very successful organisation and recognises the importance of continually improving and re-shaping how it works in order to deliver to members. Equality Works is delighted to have worked with the CSP in ways that make a measurable difference.
