Partnership working across Local Government continues to present some great opportunities to influence the Equality and Diversity agenda and really make a difference to building community cohesion.
 
Our aim with this - the first ever LGC E&D Conference - is to develop some creative and “do-able” ideas to: 
  •  Assess how Local Government can use its leadership role to create dynamic partnerships
  • Make best use of the diverse resources available to it and…
  • Stay focused on what really makes a difference to delivering equality outcomes.
The Conference pre-programme focuses on building the leadership capacity of our BME colleagues. We’re looking forward to a day of hearing about some great practice and also having some rigorous debate. 
 
The agenda will cover areas such as how to build high quality leadership development pathways that promote diversity, and how to build organisational capability.
