We were delighted to start the year once again with our annual client party! It was wonderful to welcome new clients and old friends alike to celebrate our ongoing commitment to Equality and Diversity at Kings Place in London.
We very much appreciated the contributions from all our guest speakers. Sarah Ward from the Charity Commission outlined the positive learning outcomes they had achieved in equality and diversity practice.
Sarah talked about how they had been able to measure these outcomes and the real impact that she is confident this will have for 190,000 charities regulated by the Commission across the UK
Marsha John from East Thames Housing reminded us not only how important it is for us to design training that really fits the organisational culture.
Equally important, she stressed, is how we go about having the important conversations across the business - and at all levels - which are needed to embed Equality and Diversity into core thinking and practice.
Paul Wilson and Geraldine Gavin generously shared some of the significant organisational development work that they are doing at London Probation where they are supporting a large team of highly committed people to deliver services in very challenging circumstances.
The work we do with London Probation is testament to our belief that good E&D practice equals good management practice. In organisations as large, complex and diverse as London Probation, it is difficult to separate these two ideas, and we are pleased to be working in partnership with an organisation that clearly values our contribution.
Equality Works is proud to be working with all the above organisations and we are especially pleased to showcase the expanding range of projects that we are now delivering to clients.
