Equality Works is very pleased to be partnering the Improvement and Development Agency (IDeA) in facilitating a series of free regional events to support Local Authorities and partners to improve their performance in the Equality Framework for Local Government.
The events will focus on how the sector can both strengthen its own self-assessment by using the Equality Framework for Local Government (EFLG) and articulate the moral and business case for equality to drive service improvement in times of change.
The first event being held in Nottingham on July 14th will focus on Knowing Your Communities and will provide an opportunity to examine examples of good practice from across the country and build an understanding of the business case for work in this area.
There will also be an opportunity to hear more about the Equality Act 2010, and its implications for local government. Michel Keating, National Advisor for Equalities and Cohesion, IDeA will chair the event with speakers from the Government Equality Office, Nottingham City Council and over 75 colleagues from the region currently scheduled to attend.
If you would like more information or would be interested in attending the event you can book directly through the
IDeA website.
