The Council was successfully reassessed for Investors in People. As part of the review we asked to assessors to identify the extent to which equality issues had become integrated into service planning and delivery, following the extensive training undertaken over the last few years.
The feedback was very positive with many examples of good practice to demonstrate this. The higher scores achieved against the IiP standards profile were in the areas of equality and diversity. In addition, people cited the enormous benefit and value of the training provided by Equality Works.
The IiP assessor presented these findings to our corporate management team this morning and they endorsed the view that your work with the senior management especially had had a significant impact on the integration of our equal ops policies.
