Clients in this sector face the challenges and issues associated with working with constant change not only in relation to their business operations but with regard to EDI standards required of them by commissioning bodies. Many of them now need to respond positively in order to meet the public duties to promote gender, disability and race equality.
Managing change is a key area that we have been able to help with. The work we have undertaken with Atkins involved the merging of two groups of very different staff from two very different companies. Whilst for BHP Billiton, who work with multi-cultural teams, we designed and conducted diversity awareness training for staff and sub-contractors to increase their awareness, knowledge and confidence in such situations.
Our aim is to assist our clients to develop and build on good practice in relation to equality and diversity and to help them improve their business performance.
We were commissioned by Mansell to discover how the company can build on current good practice in relation to equality and diversity. This included identifying any areas that could be strengthened to improve business performance.
Mansell is a very successful, award winning company, and clearly a leader in its field. In order to maintain this position Mansell is moving forward in many areas typified by an exciting and innovative approach to health and safety. An important ingredient in the ongoing success of the company is to ensure Mansell is also moving ahead on diversity
Equality Works were commissioned to support this large company through a period of change which required many new ways of working, and therefore a fundamental change in the organisational culture.
All the events have been delivered to a consistently high standard and always receive excellent feedback from participants.
